Eira Rees Jones Director

 

After studying Law at Bristol University and Guildford College of Law, Eira became a Solicitor in 1970 and immediately joined the family firm established in 1937 by her grandfather Hugh Williams. His son Richard Williams (Eira's father) was the senior partner at the time, and Eira in turn took over the practice following his retirement.

 

To Eira's surprise and delight, her daughter Mair also decided to practice law, and both now run our two offices in Llandeilo and Llandovery thus preserving the line for a fourth generation.

 

Eira’s knowledge and expertise, amassed over the last 45 years and particularly in conveyancing and probate matters, is of great benefit to the practice, and she plans to continue with this work alongside the other members of the legal team for the foreseeable future.

Mair Hickman Director

 

Mair, the great-granddaughter of the founder Hugh Williams is the fourth generation of solicitors in her family.

After attending Tregib school where she was deputy head girl, Mair studied at Liverpool University and Chester College of Law gaining her LL.B and LPC.

 

Mair returned to Llandeilo in 2001 to join the firm; qualifying in 2003. She is experienced in all aspects of residential, commercial and agricultural conveyancing and also specialises in Leases and Landlord & Tenant work.

She is an active member of the Law Society both on a local and national level and a past member of the Wales Committee.

 

Nia Meleri Morgan Solicitor


Nia, a qualified Solicitor since 1994, has been with Hugh Williams Son & Co since 2001 and specialises in Wills, Probate & residential Conveyancing. .

 

Nia, originally from Porthmadog, Gwynedd, graduated from Cardiff University in Law & French and trained at cardiff-based firm Hugh James.

 

She has lived in Llandeilo since 2000 with her husband and three children. Nia is fluent in both Welsh and English and is happy to conduct matters in either language.

 

Nia is based in the Llandeilo office.

Siân Eleri Jones Solicitor

 

A graduate in Law from Aberystwyth, Siân has over 15 years experience in Family Law and Litigation including complex financial and property matters, cohabitation disputes and children's issues.

 

Siân is fluent in both English and Welsh, and is happy to assist clients in the language of their choosing. 

 

Based in our Llandeilo office, Siân always provides a constructive and sympathetic approach to the difficulties that families sometimes have to face.

 

 

Catrin James Solicitor

 

After studying Law at Durham, Catrin worked in north Wales and in the north of England gaining experience in property and private client work.

 

Born and raised on the family farm in Myddfai, Catrin now lives locally with her husband and two children.

 

Catrin is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and associate member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE). She deals with Wills, Probate, Estate and Succession planning and administration, including Court of Protection and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

 

 

Dorian Price Evans Solicitor

 

Dorian has a background in science having studied Microbiology at Bristol University and has worked voluntarily with the international charity VSO (Voluntary Service Oversees) as a Microbiologist in Nepal. 

 

Retraining as Solicitor in 2004, Dorian joined Hugh Williams Son & Co in 2014, and now works in our Llandovery office.

 

Dorian is one of our two Family Law solicitors and although experienced in all aspects of Family Law matters, he also specialises in residential conveyancing. 

 

Dorian lives in Llandeilo with his wife and two children.
